Ellie Kickstarted Her Career with Falcon Support Services
When Ellie applied for the role of Receptionist at Falcon Support Services through the Kickstart programme, she was an instant match.
Falcon Support Services is a charity that has been helping the homeless and others in need for over 20 years, supporting them to find independence through housing an community projects. They decided to join the Kickstart scheme because it sounded to them like a great way to support younger people into a sector full of job opportunities. That's when they met Ellie.
When Ellie's CV came through for a Customer Service role, we interviewed and immediately thought she was perfect for the position. We provided a full induction and she flourished in her role, with colleagues and service users really welcoming her to the team. Rachel Hall, Deputy CEO of Falcon Support Services
Throughout her six-month placement on the Kickstart team, Ellie has continued to grow and seize new opportunities in the workplace, such as working alongside the Drop-In Team to support homeless people and people living in difficult circumstances. She's built up relationships with both her work colleagues and the clients who use the service, and her passion didn't go unnoticed.
Thanks to Ellie's natural desire to learn more and help those in need, Falcon Support Services has encouraged her development and put training in place that will allow her to apply for a permanent role as a Support Worker when her Kickstart placement is complete.
Through Kickstart, Ellie has grown from being unsure of what career path to take to finding a permanent position with a charity that she has a real passion for.
The Kickstart scheme has been a life-changing opportunity for me and I'm so happy I was considered for the role and taken on. Ellie Kew Moss, Kickstart Employee
