Futures for Business is hosting a selection day to support Nottingham City Council to fill vacancies across a number of premises across Nottingham City Centre. The selection day will take place at Futures, The Hub, 40 Friar Lane, Nottingham, NG1 6DQ on Tuesday 18th June 2019 at 10.00am.
About the course
Nottingham City Council are currently recruiting for Cleaners within the city of Nottingham. This could be maintaining the image of public buildings or helping make Nottingham the cleanest city. If you have a passion working for a well-respected company and being able to support the residents of Nottingham City, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
You will complete the following qualifications::
- City and Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Customer Service
- City and Guilds Level 1 Award in Employability
- An Introduction to Health and Safety at Work
- COSHH Awareness Training (with certificate)
The course will include:
- 2 weeks pre-employment training
- Short work placement
- Guaranteed interview with Nottingham City Council for a Cleaner within a Nottingham City Council building
Who Can Attend
You can attend this course if you:
- Are aged 19 years old or over (must have turned 19 by 31st August 2018)
- Have lived in the UK or a European Economic Area (EEA) Member state for the last three years or more or be an Individual or Asylum Seeker with certain types of immigration status*
- Are actively seeking employment and claiming an unemployment benefit of either: Universal Credit, Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance (WRAG) **
- OR Must be earning under £15,736.50 annual gross salary and be able to commit to the course.
