Kitchen Assistant

This vacancy is open to applicants who are aged 50+ and actively seeking work in Norfolk or Suffolk. Pathways 50+ is an ESF-funded project delivered by Futures for Business in Partnership with Suffolk County Council to support people into sustainable employment.

Crab Pot Café is a small friendly establishment located in the heart of Cromer town centre.  We serve a range of tasty fresh food prepared using local seasonal produce wherever possible, including the world-famous Cromer crab!

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a range of duties:

• Preparation of a range of hot and cold beverages
• Preparation of breakfasts, light lunches and snacks to include full cooked breakfasts, sandwiches, paninis, salads, cakes and scones, afternoon teas and takeaway picnic boxes
• Maintaining a safe and hygienic food preparation area

• Confident food preparation and cookery skills gained either in a domestic or commercial kitchen
• Must be flexible in terms of the ability to prepare a range of food items and supporting the requirements of the business
• Awareness of food hygiene protocols
• Good teamworking and communication skills
• Good customer service skills
• Must have common sense and practical mindset

Location easily accessible in town centre, very close to bus stop and within walking distance of Cromer train station.

No car parking on site, public pay car park within very short walking distance, all day free parking available on Cromer sea front if available
