  • Lowedges Junior Academy, part of Aston Community Education Trust are looking for an apprentice Teaching Assistant to join their team.This could be the perfect opportunity for you to start and progress your career as a Teaching Assistant.

    You will need to have a passion for working with, and inspiring, primary school children from the ages of 3 through to 11.As an apprentice teaching assistant you will support pupils to reach their full potential through one-to-one work, group work and whole class support.

    Your day-to-day duties could include:


    • Working with groups of children within lessons
    • Listening to children read or reading to them
    • Helping children who need extra support
    • Helping teachers prepare materials that match development needs
    • Supervising group activities, including outings and sports events
    • Your role would also involve caring for and supporting children during breaks and lunchtime
    • Getting the classroom ready for lessons and clearing away afterwards
