  • The company is now looking for a Research Assistant as follows: The role will involve conducting research into specific industry sectors for new client pitches and to identify potential buyers and sellers for clients. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in starting a career in business and finance The candidate will have the ability to work independently within a small team, undertaking research to identify trends and market activity in specific market sectors. They will identify completed transactions and conduct analysis of comparable companies They will undertake research of databases, trade press and other sources of information to identify potential purchasers and targets for acquisitive clients They will research potential purchasers to assess the feasibility of completing a transaction They will also be required to carry out general administrative duties The role will involve dealing with confidential client information and the candidate must be capable of following confidentiality guidelines Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will have an interest in business and finance, be highly motivated, and have excellent communication skills and an attention to detail. An understanding of local and national businesses and current trends in the market will be advantageous Experience of databases (ideally MarketIQ) and Excel would be desirable GCSE Maths and English required and preferably educated to A level standard
