Tasha Stepped It Up with a Qualification in Career Guidance

Lots has changed over the last year, and in many ways it's shaped us and helped us to grow. Getting through is an achievement in itself!

You might've spent time reflecting on your skills or exploring new interests. Not all skills are learnt through work, experience and formal education – life gives us plenty to work with, too.

At Futures, we see skills in everyone and love to help people develop theirs.

Almost everyone has had to make changes to how they work over the last year, and Tasha is no different. She went from teaching in the classroom to conducting lessons over Microsoft Teams.

When Tasha’s school moved online, she dusted off her old art skills and spread joy to her students by drawing up comics of her classes. But that’s not all she did.

Tasha knew how hard this past year had been on her students and how worried they were about their next steps, so she got in touch with Futures to see if anything could be done. She was able to complete a QCF Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance Theory, giving her the information she needed to give her classes practical and inspiring advice for leaving school.

If you work in education and want to give your students a boost, we have qualifications to suit you. We’re here to help, in fact, we’d love to!
